Who we are/ what we do:

The Regulatory Compliance team establishes the Safety and EMC compliance of Thermo Fisher Scientific products. Regulatory Compliance is a multi-disciplined, international team where we encourage free thinking in a collaborative environment for the purpose of problem solving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and interpret World-Wide regulations and standards
  • Provide regulatory guidance to design teams to ensure compliant end-product
  • Manage all necessary worldwide electrotechnical documentation, testing, declarations and certifications for multiple product lines.
  • Perform product design reviews to ensure proposed solutions are compliant with applicable safety /product regulatory requirements in targeted markets.
  • Create and execute regulatory test plans, include required standards, test specifications, estimated cost, turn-around time and submittal strategy for targeted markets.
  • Willingness to travel domestically/internationally 10% of the time.


  • Bachelor degree in engineering, or technical/scientific field.
  • Computer skills, data analysis and reporting using Microsoft Excel and Word. MS Access, PowerPoint,
  • English written and verbal communication skills required and daily used.
  • Self-motivated – independent and dependable with long-term vision

Need to have:

  • Electrical education valid in Czech Republic.
  • Experience working in high-tech environment and specially industrial equipment.

Good to have:

  • Experience in electronics/electric hardware design or manufacture.
  • Experience in product compliance; testing and certifications/inspections.
  • Working knowledge of CE standards and directives, e.g., Machinery directive, EMC directive, LVD directive.
  • Applicable knowledge of how to perform hazard/risk analysis – FMEA a plus.
