In Thermo Fisher Scientific Brno, we develop and produce high-tech electron microscopes and spectrometers. We are looking for a passionate Spare Part Manager/Technical Support Specialist. The successful candidate will turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions. All while performing the day to day tasks of the SPM role supporting Brno produced products.

This role coordinates and interacts with multiple groups within both the Brno location, as well as our internal global partners. A part of the Global Technical Support group, the SPM manages processes and functions related to spare parts and FRU’s (Field Replaceable Units). FRU’s are the building blocks of our service strategy, and the SPM is a part of all phases of the product lifecycle, from New Products Introduction through End of Life. Heavy focus in this role will be placed on process improvement, innovation and a drive to make a real impact on our customers, both internal and external.

The SPM reports to the Global Spares Manager who is based in the United States and is a part of the global SPM team.

What will you do?

  • Manage daily tasks of the SPM function for Brno based products
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
  • Participate in improvement projects, domestic and global
  • Coordinate with other professionals to implement changes and new processes

How will you get here?


  • Degree in Supply Chain, Business or Engineering is required
  • Technical skills are preferred, but not required


  • 2+ years of experience in a data analyst or business data analyst role with proven success
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • 4+ years working in the technology industry preferred
