Service Innovation is leading in the design of the new digital services platform. For our DualBeam Microscopes algorithm team in Brno we are looking for an extension with a professional Engineer DualBeam Algorithms.
Data to Information (D2i) is our data analysis program where the main goal is to deliver proactive service, usage insights and efficiency monitoring as part of a digital service offering. D2i is using sophisticated mathematics models (algorithms) to predict and detect failures based on the diagnostics data provided by the microscopes. We are enabling the Service department to perform data-driven decisions to increase the quality of services sold with microscopes to ultimately remove the microscope downtime and maximize the customer value.

What projects will you work on?

  • Deliver the technical DualBeam expertise required for algorithm development
  • collaborate with Algorithm developers Explore feasibility to of algorithm initiations / updates
  • Initiate new algorithm improvements or initiations based on analysis
  • be a part of the “brain trust” of Machine Learning model development
  • Alerts Pareto
  • Analyze monthly service calls missed by alerts
  • gain feedback from the remote monitoring organization
  • Provide Global Tech Support the background information about the intension and performance of alerts
  • Request additional logging for existing modules based on the development requirements
  • Define the new data sources for new modules or currently unsupported modules
  • Setting up experiments to simulate system conditions needed for algorithm development
  • Provide feedback for the value estimation of the algorithms (data-based)
  • Specify requirements for data collection from the field
  • Participates in Failure Mode Error Analyses to get clear what issues might occur and how that can be diagnosed remotely.

Who do we look for?

  • MSc Technical degree – Engineering, Physics, Information technology or similar
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • proven experience in an engineering position, preferable in a high-tech environment (suitable also for fresh graduates with work experience)
  • Teammate that enjoys collaborating closely with end users and developers
  • Technical knowledge about the hardware and software modules of DB Microscopes
  • Familiar with basic data analysis techniques (Python, R, Excel, calc.exe etc.)
  • Quality driven mentality
  • Proficient in English
