In Thermo Fisher Scientific Brno, we develop and produce high-tech electron microscopes and spectrometers. Our devices are involved in research of ZIKA virus, HIV, and they also enable mobile phones to get smaller. Our work contributes to making the world healthier, cleaner and safer. We are the biggest production site of electron microscopes worldwide, following a tradition over 70 years long. Your responsibilities:

  • You will participate on all design phases of development of motion modules for transmission electron microscopes, which consists of:
  • Design of mechanical and electrical parts of drives based on given requirements
  • Defining specifications for new motion modules based on customer requirements
  • Creating technical documentation
  • Cooperation with other design engineers and with other departments world-wide

You need to possess:

  • Good overall technical knowledge
  • Master's Degree in mechatronics, electronics or mechanics engineering or related area
  • Programming languages (C, C++, Python, VHDL) and its environments
  • Knowledge of motion control, DC, step, linear and other drives
  • Good communication skills, enthusiasm for the job
  • Willingness to learn new things
  • Both written and spoken English
