The Job:

The Senior Technical Support Manager position for Microscopy & Spectroscopy areas has the ownership for 2 GTS teams in Brno, acting as 2nd level manager, main service stakeholder and service lead in Brno facility. Will be also responsible for the project management – defining and leading projects focused on improving product and process improvement. The role holder will be an effective champion of the field service organization within the factory (focus on PMP).

What will you do?

  • Ensure adherence to GTS SLA’s
  • Implement service strategy into new products developed in Brno
  • Ensure a high level of service maturity/readiness on products manufactured in Brno
  • Lead the local GTS departments to fulfill the GTS Mission
  • Coordinate resources between technical support and CIP activities for their team
  • Act as a partner for the field and factory specifically in highlighting and resolving chronic issues, co-ordinate technical resources and communications effectively with the GTS field groups.
  • Responsibility for management, effective management of the team for maximum output, using resource planning, individual development plans
  • Ensure GTS team deliverables are fulfilled in line with globally accepted best practices, company strategy, vision and policy.
  • Regularly evaluate GTS staff
  • Manage GTS team competence structure and competence development (including education, training, coaching, empowerment and deployment)
  • Identify and develop possible substitutes on all relevant positions including GTS manager
  • Follow the effective documents IMS, EMS and managing documentations.
  • Be an effective technical lead for their team, this will require occasional technical training

What we are looking for:

  • University degree in a technical discipline or a combination of education and experience that demonstrate required skills
  • Min. 10 years of experience, with 5 years in leadership roles in engineering, operations, technical support or service management
  • Eligible for electric regulation No.50 §7 - advantage
  • Basic knowledge of electron microscopy will be a high advantage
  • English written and spoken at C1 level
  • Experience with problem-solving and proven ability to effectively manage escalations and high pressure situations
  • Ability to work independently on multiple tasks
  • Proactive, customer oriented person as well as enthusiastic and outgoing personality
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop technical teams
  • Excellent communication ability (both written and verbal) and influencing skills including the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences is critical to the success in this position
  • Must possess excellent working knowledge of effective project management, data analysis, budgets and resource planning
  • The ideal candidate will understand relevant technologies such as semiconductor manufacturing and semiconductor or related technology, or complex equipment manufacturing
  • Proven ability to interact with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams
  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally
